  22. These are all possible points in the menu. Normally you only see the points
  23. which you can execute because of your user level or which make sense for the
  24. current action.

  26. In the following you find an exact description of the several commands:
  27.  
  28. BM = Bulletins Menu     Here you find information about the program and
  29.                         important references to new updates. Look in this
  30.                         menu from time to time to get some news. Moreover here
  31.                         you can find actual information on several topics.
  32.                         The offers in this areas will only be handled by the
  33.                         sysop. To be able to get into this board you need at
  34.                         least security_level 10.
  35.  
  36. CB = Call Back          Only a few special users can use this function. They
  37.                         can send in 2 lines a configuration to the modem and
  38.                         give the BBS program a telephone number to be called
  39.                         back directly after the logoff.
  40.  
  41. CS = Chat SysOp         This function makes a bell ringing on the BBS host to
  42.                         call the sysop. If the sysop is ready you find your-
  43.                         self in the chat mode. If the sysop is not available
  44.                         you get a message. Now you can leave a private mail to
  45.                         him (sysop user number 5).

  47. EU = Edit Users         This function is only available for the sysop and
  48.                         possible co-sysops. Here are the complete user data
  49.                         shown (data from Join as a Member - see also there) and
  50.                         the security_level are given out. Security_level are
  51.                         regulating your access to the several areas. Users will
  52.                         be activated, deactivated, validated or deleted.

  54. FS = File System        In the file system are all available files situated,
  55.                         structured in several areas, ready for uploads and
  56.                         downloads. The possibility of this action is dependent
  57.                         on the security_level you have. If it is to low the
  58.                         access will be denied. In most cases the files have
  59.                         comments to their content. You can online read `doc.
  60.                         files´ if available. For the access to this board you
  61.                         need at least security_level 10.

  63. GB = Goodbye            With this function the logoff will be initiated and
  64.                         the modem hooks off.

  66. JM = Join as a Member   Here you can identify yourself as an user. This is
  67.                         necessary for correct working in the box. Please
  68.                         fill in all fields. In other case you could not be
  69.                         validated and activated as user. The sysop will check
  70.                         the data and settle your security_level. This could be
  71.                         raised and reduced in the future to give you more or
  72.                         less rights.

  74. MB = Message Board      Here you can write messages to all users or read some
  75.                         from other users. The possibility of this action is
  76.                         also dependent on your security_level. In most cases
  77.                         the files have comments to their content. For the
  78.                         access to this board you need at least security_level
  79.                         10.

  81. MS = Mail to SysOp      With this function guest users have the chance to write
  82.                         a Private Mail to the sysop directly.

  84. PM = Private Mail       With this function you can write mail to one ore more
  85.                         special users or the sysop and you can read received
  86.                         mail. Is there new mail available you get their number
  87.                         after login. For the access to this board you need at
  88.                         least security_level 10.

  90. SM = Setup Menu         General settings such as emulation, number of lines,
  91.                         type of Help Text, List Form, Transfer Protocol for
  92.                         Up- and Downloads have to be fixed here. You can change
  93.                         your password and you get all personal information.
  94.                         For the access to this menu you need at least
  95.                         security_level 10.

  97. SS = System Statistic   Here you get some information about the mailbox e.g.
  98.                         date of first start, total time, total online time,
  99.                         how many fax calls, how many calls from users as Guest,
  100.                         New User or Valid User, the number of up- and downloads
  101.                         or messages and private mails.

  103. UM = User Menu          Here you can see how many users are already registrated
  104.                         in the box, their user number, the name and the last
  105.                         login. If you know e.g. an user number you can get the
  106.                         respective name and vice versa. Moreover here are shown
  107.                         all available statistics.
